Polka-dotted colored eggs from the Mario series. They usually hatch Baby Yoshis and Yoshis but can also store items.

In some games like Super Smash Bros. and Mario Power Tennis Yoshis are sometimes shown to have an ability to enter and shield themselves within an egg at will. Since Yoshi's Island enemies gobbled up by a Yoshi will turn into eggs which can be used as a projectile.
