Washing a car, truck, or other vehicle by hand. For the facility designed to wash vehicles automatically (with brushes or sprayers), use car wash.
Washing cars by hand is also frequently used as a means of fund raising, particularly in the US, where volunteers will wash cars in exchange for donations. Some of these car washes may feature women in bikinis to draw in more people, such car washes are referred to as a bikini car wash.
