walkure (macross delta)
A five member idol group from Macross Delta. Because the group's singing is capable of dampening the effect of the Vár syndrome, they are often deployed to perform at active battle zones. Their logo is a silhouette of Mikumo with butterfly wings and floating hair. They often do hand gestures in a "\m/" shape.
The name is used to refer to both the in-universe idol group, and the real life idol group comprised of the characters' voice actors.
During the 2019 Macross Crossover Live event, Kawamori Shouji teased that a sixth member would be added to the group in the second movie based on the series, though it did not end up coming to fruition. Instead, the film debuted Yami Q Ray as a rival group to Walkure.
