Current president (2000-2008, 2012- ) and former prime minister (1999-2000, 2008-2012) of the Russian Federation and former Soviet KGB agent.
A controversial figure, he has initially developed a cult following in Japan, who often depict him as "the manliest and most unstoppable leader on earth". This has reached the point that there is a manga based of his public image as well as an annual calendar of him being sold in Japan. Though his memetic status has been significantly subsided after he ordered the invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
