vf-9

A mecha from the Macross series. It appears in the Macross M3 Sega Dreamcast video game from 2001.

The VF-9 Cutlass is a small, fast and agile variable fighter with forward-swept wings.

It was originally designed by Kawamori Shouji in the late 80s as "VF-X-10" in "Advanced Valkyrie", a variable fighter toy line from Bandai. When the line wasn't produced he kept the design and used it years later in the console video game.

Later it also appeared in Macross The Ride and Kanou Akira's Macross 7th Code.
