variant set
A set of images consisting of a base image and one or more alternate versions. If the set contains 6 or more images, use large variant set.
The alternate versions should be variations of the base image, with the character's basic pose and position staying mostly the same. Common examples of variant sets include:
- Different costumes, outfits, or stages of undress
- Different facial expressions
- Different stages of sex acts
- Text and textless versions
- Changing speech bubbles for ongoing conversations
- Slight changes in pose (usually just the limbs)
Variant sets must contain intentional, significant changes made by the artist. Revisions, duplicates, and compressed/uncompressed versions don't count.
Not to be confused with variations, which are multiple variations within the same image.
