An elder dragon from the Monster Hunter series, originally introduced as one of the Unrivaled Two, a duo of flagship monsters of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate.

Known as the "Sky Comet Dragon", Valstrax resembles a slender dragon with silver scales and opposable wings with a trident-like shape with jets on their tips. In battle it uses its wing's jets to shoot fireballs at its enemies, or to fly up at impossible speeds before falling down onto its target without giving them a chance to evade.

After its absence in Monster Hunter: World, it returned in Monster Hunter Rise, but only as Crimson Glow Valstrax variant.
