ukulele apology video (meme)

An infamous "apology" video posted by YouTuber Colleen Ballinger (formerly known by her online persona Miranda Sings) in June 28th 2023 in which she addresses the then-recent controversy revolving around her allegedly engaging with young fans in inappropriate ways.

The video came weeks after YouTuber Adam McIntyre shared his experiences of Ballinger purportedly having age-inappropriate conversations with him and various other young children in a group chat. Ballinger's decision to deliver her apology in the form of a ukulele song drew the ire of many internet commentators that believed the format to be too lighthearted to address the serious allegations levied against her, as well as trivializing the matters, prompting widespread backlash in the following days.
