Super robot mecha anime and manga created by Nagai Gou in the 70s.
UFO Robo Grendizer is a spin-off/sequel of Mazinger Z which is notable for featuring the original Mazinger protagonist Kabuto Kouji.
The anime adaptation had character designs by Araki Shingo. It was broadcast on Japanese television from October 5, 1975, to February 27, 1977, and lasted 74 episodes.
The series would later be reimagined in the Grendizer Giga manga, which interprets the series as a standalone work with no other Mazinger characters or mecha appearing.
