The kanji for "horse" is normally written as 馬, with four strokes at the bottom representing a horse's four legs. As quadrupedal horses do not exist in the Umamusume universe, instead being replaced with bipedal horse girls, the kanji for "horse" in this setting is written with two strokes at the bottom instead of the usual four.
