    turn a gundam

    ∀ガンダム ターンエーガンダム

Turn A Gundam (stylized as ∀ Gundam) is a 1999 anime series written and directed by Tomino Yoshiyuki for the Gundam mecha series, marking his return to Sunrise after V Gundam in 1993.

Thousands of years into the future and in the aftermath of an ancient apocalyptic war, the "Earthrace" reverted to a Victorian-era lifestyle, while the more technologically advanced "Moonrace" went into cryostasis, waiting for the day they could repopulate the Earth, while occasionally sending advance scout parties to mingle with and spy on the Earthrace.

However, one such scout, Loran Cehack, has since grew fond of the Earthrace, and when a Moonrace immigrant party began to stir trouble, Loran piloted the Turn A, a mobile suit worshipped as the "White Idol" by his adoptive nation, to not only prevent further conflict, but also bring peace between both races.

The series is notable because the peculiar looking hero mobile suit from the show and many other robots were designed by an American artist (Syd Mead).
