transformers: the war within

A group of comic miniseries in the Transformers franchise, published by Dreamwave productions in 2002-2004. It is set in the beginning of the war between the Autobots and Decepticons. The comic is notable for introducing many characters with designs based on how they appeared before arriving on Earth, as well as the first appearance of The Fallen in any Transformers media.

The War Within was published as a six-issue miniseries, later getting two sequel miniseries titled The Dark Ages and The Age Of Wrath. Due to Dreamwave's bankruptcy in 2004, The Age Of Wrath only had three of its six issues published.
