torah (object)
The Torah (תּוֹרָה) is the compilation of the first five books of the Hebrew Bible, and together with the Talmud form the foundational works of Judaism. It is also considered part of holy works in Christianity (the Old Testament) and Islam (توراة).
It is usually depicted as a double-handled scroll, as would be kept in and read from at the synagogue, however normal book versions are also common.
