tennis no ouji-sama

テニスの王子様 テニプリ テニ腐リ テニプリ夢 tnpr夢 网球王子

A tennis-themed sports (and action) manga and anime series written and illustrated by Konomi Takeshi. It was serialized in Shounen Jump from 1999 to 2008. Localized as The Prince of Tennis outside Japan.

The series is famous for an absurd amount of violence that is best compared to martial arts manga, with superhuman abilities, special moves, and life-threatening injuries. This unusual approach of sports manga is intentional on behalf of Konomi, who wanted it to be a departure from other popular sports manga and anime series at that time.
