Takeuchi Mariya (born 20 March 1955) is a Japanese singer and songwriter known during the late 1970s and 1980s for her City Pop songs.

Mariya later gained Internet fame in 2017 when one of her City Pop songs, Plastic Love, was uploaded to YouTube, gaining over 24 million views and in turn not only propelling Plastic Love back into the public conscious, but also inspiring fanart based on the thumbnail, which used the cover of the single release of "SWEETEST MUSIC".

Thanks to Plastic Love's popularity, an official music video was released on 12 November 2021.
