t'au

タウ・エンパイア タウエンパイア

A faction from Warhammer 40,000, characterized by their blue-skinned, humanoid forms and extensive use of mecha. The T'au would go from a primitive species to a spacefaring civilization capable of standing against the might of the Imperium in only a few millenia, driven by a philosophy they call the "Greater Good". Nominally a lighter faction within the grim darkness of the far future, the T'au have forged alliances with a number of other species, such as the reptillian Kroot and the insectoid Vespids, and have even recruited a number of human defectors from the Imperium. Beneath that, however, their ruling caste, the Ethereals, have kept their people ignorant of the dangers of the wider galaxy and may have sinister intentions for their civilization.

Nicknamed the "Weaboo Space Communists" by Imperial players as their designs appear to be heavily based on Japanese science fiction media and their ideology of the "Greater Good" is seen as collectivist enough to be compared/equated to communism, tongue-in-cheek or not.

Canonically T'au have four fingers (three digits plus a thumb). Anatomically accurate T'au should be tagged with fewer digits but not tagged with artistic error. Likewise the reverse is true for T'au drawn with five fingers.

The following tags are aliased to this tag: tau (learn more).
