sword tassel
A decorative tassel attached to the hilt of a sword.
They are used to help secure the sword to the wielder's wrist while in use, preventing the sword from being dropped or knocked out of the hand during combat. Sword knots are often made of braided leather or silk and can be intricately designed with tassels, fringe, or other embellishments.
