stud earrings
Earrings attached to a post that goes through the earlobe, secured with a backing. They sit close to the ear, rather than hanging from it, and usually appear as a simple circle, dome, or gemstone.
If placed somewhere on the ear other than on the earlobes, use ear piercing with stud piercings instead.
