stenciled rose
A highly stylized design where a rose is drawn without lines, as if with stencils. Very frequently drawn in monochrome.
Classically appears in images with (but is not usually attached to) vines and thorns, or themes of evil/darkness. However, this is by no means always the case, as seen in post #2421593.
The stenciled rose differs from the mackintosh rose in that it usually depicts a matured bloom rather than a younger bud, features more space between wedges, and exhibits more variety and irregularity of shape amongst its pieces.
