sonic the hedgehog (ova)
Sonic the Hedgehog (ソニック★ザ★ヘッジホッグ) or Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie, is a two-episode OVA based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Produced by Pierrot, directed by Kazunori Ikegami and written by Masashi Kubota, the OVA was originally released in Japan in 1996, with its two thirty-minute episodes over two separate VHS tapes.
The two episodes were titled "Welcome to Eggmanland" (エッグマンランドへむかえ, Eggumanrando e Mukae) and "Sonic vs. Metal Sonic!!" (ソニックＶＳメタル・ソニック！！).
The anime features Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Dr. Eggman (Dr. Robotnik in the English release), Metal Sonic and a few supporting characters created exclusively for the OVA. It also featured an ending theme "Look-a-like", with music score composed by Mitsuhiro Tada, who also did the arrangement for "Look-a-like".
