song of the south
Controversial 1946 Disney animated and live-action movie about a young boy, Johnny, and his friendship with Uncle Remus. As the movie is set a plantation in the Reconstruction era after the American Civil War, the film featured a large number of racist black stereotypes, which led to the movie being a subject of polarizing debate and withheld from re-release by Disney ever since.
Aside from the racial stereotype issue, it is more positively well known for its animated segments featuring talking animals, which are still used in Disneyland and related merch.
