Shadow the Hedgehog (シャドウ・ザ・ヘッジホッグ) is a 2005 video game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega, released on multi-platform consoles. The story is a continuation of the Sonic Adventure series, making it one of the only games to do so. In this game, Shadow's actions are based on the players' choice to either play for good or evil, allowing for branching paths throughout gameplay. It was one of the only Sonic games to receive an ESRB rating of E10+, despite Shadow's use of profanity and semi-realistic weapons.
