Sex and The City is an American romantic comedy-drama series created by Darren Star. The series aired on HBO from June 6, 1998, to February 22, 2004 with six seasons. The series follows the love and sex lives of four friends in New York City, newspaper columnist Carrie Bradshaw(Sarah Jessica Parker) who serves as the narrator of the show, the sexually liberal PR professional Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall), the more conservative art dealer Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) and the cynical lawyer Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon).

The series was critically acclaimed, winning several Emmys and Golden Globes, and increase the popularity of HBO. The series will later have two movies, a prequel series called The Carrie Diaries that aired on CW and a sequel, And Just Like That... on HBO Max.
