security checkpoint
A section where security personnel check individuals and prevent them from sneaking in weapons, bombs, or contraband before entering. A security checkpoint is usually fitted with a boom barrier, a stop sign, and an armed security, it is typically seen at a military base, border crossing, or any area off to the public.
