searchlight

An extremely bright outdoor spotlight. Originally used to search for enemy aircraft or escaped detainees at night, hence the name. They were later used for decorative purposes.

This tag also includes characters being "caught" by a searchlight. For characters being lit up while performing on a stage, use spotlight instead.
