sam & max

Sam and Max is an American franchise created by Steve Purcell. It originally began as a comic book series in 1987 before the franchise gained fame when it was turned into a point and click adventure game, Sam & Max Hit the Road, by Lucas Arts in 1993 on PC. It was later turned into an animated series, The Adventures of Sam & Max: Freelance Police, which aired for one season from 1997 to 1998. Sam and Max return in video game format in 2006 as a series of adventure games by Telltale Games.
