sakigake no hanamiko
Sakigake no Hanamiko (魁の花巫女) is a 2024 manga written and illustrated by Kitada Ryouma. The main protagonist, Kamishiro Arata, returns home after his father's death to discover his father's secret: a world where gods of calamity who bring disasters to humankind exist and those who defeat those calamities, the hanamiko.
The titular hanamiko are shrine maidens who fight against demon-like gods of calamity and entertain gods of fortune similar to how geisha entertained their guests by performing Japanese arts, such as dance, music and singing, as well as being proficient conversationalists and hosts. The "hanamiko" is in reference to Hanamikoji, the famous geisha street. As might be expected, the manga features plenty of fanservice.
