princess daisy (classic sports)
An official alternate costume for Princess Daisy which debuted in NES Open Tournament Golf, and was later used for Mario Tennis (Nintendo 64). It would be retired in favor of Princess Daisy (Sports Shorts) and Princess Daisy (Sports Dress).
This costume consists of:
- Accessories: Her earrings are designed like white daisy flowers with a circular blue center.
- Dress: She wears a short-sleeved, knee-length dress with a fitted bodice and a flared, layered skirt.
- Bodice: The upper part features a scalloped white collar, which is ringed by a circular flower-like piece at her neckline. She has another daisy motif on her dress front.
- Sleeves: Puffed short sleeves in yellow, with white trim forming a ruffled edge.
- Skirt: The skirt has two layers: a white underskirt is visible at the bottom, and a bright yellow overskirt with curved scallop shapes around the hem. Small oval shapes, reminiscent of petals, decorate the overskirt.
- Band: Around her waist is a narrow band—likely part of the dress—delineating the bodice from the skirt.
- Footwear: Yellow shoes with a simple, low heel.
