Experiment
poppy playtime (character)
The titular character and deuteragonist of Poppy Playtime. She serves as the main ally to the Player and seeks to defeat the Prototype.
One of the first known toys from Playtime Co., Poppy was created by Elliot Ludwig in 1950 who was inspired by his daughter, Poppy Ludwig. Thanks to her cute appearance and responsiveness, Poppy was highly successful and was considered revolutionary at the time, helping make Playtime Co. into a major toy manufacturer. She held the record of Playime Co.'s most popular toy for 34 consecutive years until the release of Huggy Wuggy in 1984. After the death of Poppy Ludwig sometime in the 1960s, Elliot began running experiments to resurrect her and would later create the Prototype as a test run. Eventually, he created an experiment version of Poppy, designated Experiment 1007, using the remains of his deceased daughter.
Poppy is a small porcelain doll with white skin, long curly red hair tied into twintails, blue eyes, red lips and freckles. She wears a frilled collared blue dress with long frilled sleeves and multiple blue bows, a white pantyhose and a pair of black mary janes. She also has two blue hair bows in her hair holding up her twintails and a pull string on her back. After the train crashes during Chapter 3, Poppy now has a crack on the right side of her face. Her appearance seems to be based on Raggedy Ann.
She is voiced by Nola Klop (EN), Kotori Hikari (ES) and Fukada Ai (JP).
