poitier (reverse:1999)

Arya Poitier is a NPC from Reverse:1999. First introduced in the "Showdown in Chinatown " event, she is a LAPD officer of the Division of Arcane Affairs, whose assigned as Liang Yue partner and mentor due to the latter's age and inexperienced. While initial seeing her assignment with Liang Yue as babysitting a rookie, Poitier later forms a friendship with her new partner, solve the strange events happening in Chinatown and discover who the vigilante "Nightpiercer" is.

Since her introduction, Poitier has been well received by fans, especially from the global side, due to being an attractive black woman and praising the makers of Reverse 1999 for creating a well written and black character, especially amongst other Chinese gacha games who were criticized by global fans for their lack of colored characters in their games. Her surname is a Shout out to the late Hollywood Actor, Sidney Poitier.
