A young girl introduced as one of the many Spider Totems in Spider-Man's Spider-Verse storyline. Based off several cyberpunk anime series like Akira, Serial Experiments Lain and Neon Genesis Evangelion, her role in her home universe is to pilot the giant mecha SP//dr, which has taken a toll on her mental state.

An alternative version of her appears in the film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, where she appears to be a younger and much cheerier high school student with SP//dr as a mini-mecha companion. Her design instead embraces the "moe" aesthetic, while still keeping some technological elements of her comics counterpart. Her later appearance in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has her looking much closer to her comic book appearance.

Peni's default outfit is a school uniform (a black sweater in the comics, a black sweater vest in the film), with a matching pleated skirt. She has messy short black hair.
