Her identity may vary based on the versions of the tale, which can be any of the following:

• the true identity of the turtle Urashima Tarou saved on the surface.
• a daughter of the dragon king.
• Toyotama-hime, a figure in Japanese Mythology.

She is often depicted with feixianji and hanfu-esque clothes.
