ookurikara

A Touken Ranbu character. He is based on the sword of the same name that belonged to the Date clan. The sword initially belonged to the second shogun Hidetada before being bestowed to Date Tadamune. It is the work of the swordsmith Soushuu, though the sword itself does not carry his signature.

His name comes from the Kurikara dragon depicted on the sword, a common representation of the deity Fudou Myou'ou. The dragon appears as a tattoo on Ookurikara's right arm in human form. He also wears a necklace with the Sanskrit character "Kan" (खनति), which is said to represent Fudou.

Ookurikara is curt to the Saniwa, and often acts aloof to the rest of the Citadel. He often makes comments about how he does not plan to get along with his master or the other swords. Fans have depicted a much gentler, nicer side to him in spite of his standoffish exterior; this variation is called "Kara-chan", similar to Kantai Collection's "Nuinui" variation of Shiranui.

He is a dark skinned man with brown hair and yellow eyes. He wears a black jacket with a white t-shirt.
