norakuro (character)

のらくろ 野良犬黒吉 のら山黒吉

The title character of the Japanese comic strip Norakuro, by Tagawa Suihou. Norakuro is a black and white dog who serves in the Mouken ("fierce dogs") Brigade. In the canon story, he changed jobs several times after he retired from the Army, and ended up opening a cafe.

His full name is 野良犬 黒吉 (Norainu Kurokichi, "Stray Black Dog") in the original manga and 70s anime / のら山 黒吉 (Norayama Kurokichi) in the spinoff anime Norakuro-kun.
