Nippon Ichi Software, sometimes shortened as simply "NIS", is a Japanese video game developer company known for their anime-styled series of SRPGs. Though largely stand-alone, most games appear to be connected in some form through parallel dimensions or some such and crossovers are normal. Most recently, there was even a crossover character between NIS’ Soul Nomad (Which also featured characters from other NIS games) and Vanillaware’s GrimGrimoire. Most of the character designs have been done by Nomura Ryoji and Harada Takehito.
