new school swimsuit

A school swimsuit originating in the 1980s that does not have the school swimsuit flap over the groin like the old school swimsuit does.

"New school swimsuit" (新スク) may be used in Japanese to refer to a competition school swimsuit (with shoulder straps distinct from the body) or newer nontraditional school swimsuits like the double frill skirt swimsuit; neither should be tagged as "new school swimsuit".
