nambu pistol
The semi-automatic pistol that was adopted as the standard sidearm for officers of the Imperial Japanese Army in 1927. It saw service during the second Sino-Japanese war in the 1930s, and and through to the end of World War II.
The series has three variants, the Type A, the Type B (also known as the Baby Nambu), and the Type 14, which is most common.
It bears superficial resemblance to the German Luger p08, but the designs are not related.
