macross: eternal love song

永遠のラヴソング

Choujikuu Yousai Macross: Eien No Love Song (超時空要塞マクロス―永遠のラヴソング―), also known as Macross: Eternal Love Song, is a Japanese console video game produced by NCS/Masaya and released for the Pc Engine Super CD-ROM in December 4, 1992 only in Japan.

It is a turn-based, mecha RPG/strategy simulation and overhead view 2D game set in the Macross universe.

The plot of the game follows the continuity after the events of Macross: Do You Remember Love? and before Macross 2, featuring several original characters. The appeal of the game was largely the anime style cinematics and the Macross license, since there were no shortage of generic turn based strategy games at the time.

A companion sci-fi shooter video game called Macross 2036 and related to the plot of Eternal Love Song was released a few months before this game for the same console.
