Lavrentiy Pavlovich Beria (19 March 1899 - 23 December 1953) was a Soviet politician and head of the NKVD who used his position to rape many girls and young women and murder several of his victims.
Because of his ruthlessness in service of the Soviet regime, he was described by Stalin as “our Himmler”.
