lambretta

A brand of scooters produced by the Italian company Innocenti. The main competitor to Vespa. Innocenti sold the Lambretta brand, designs and manufacturing equipment to the Indian government in 1972, which produced Lambretta scooters for sale in India till the late 90s. A new line of Lambretta scooters debuted in 2011, with bodies based on the classic Lambretta design made in Italy, and SYM engines and CVT transmissions from Taiwan.
