A meme originated from a cutscene from Grand Theft Auto V featuring Franklin Clinton and Lamar Davis. It takes place in the mission Franklin and Lamar where Lamar retorts back to Franklin for not hanging out with him after finishing a repossession job.
Lamar: "Wassup, can a loc come up in your crib?"
Franklin: "Man, fuck you. I'll see you at work."
Lamar: "Ah, nigga don't hate me 'cause I'm beautiful nigga. Maybe if you got rid of that old yee-yee ass haircut you got you'd get some bitches on your dick. Oh, better yet, maybe Tanisha'll call your dog-ass if she ever stops fuckin' with that brain surgeon or lawyer she fucking with. Nigga...
Franklin: "...What?"
The scene went viral after some Japanese virtual youtubers unknowingly repeated Lamar's "nigga" without knowing its actual meaning, most notably Sakura Miko from Hololive.
The meme later regained resurgence due to a series of videos featuring various other characters insulting Frankin's "yee-yee ass haircut" through mods and efforts of voice acting.
The scene was later officially referenced of The Contract DLC in GTA Online, though the word nigga is sarcastically changed into my politically incorrect racial epithets in response to the word's sensitive usage.
The meme is taken even one step further with the actual voice actors (Shawn "Solo" Fonteno and Gerald "Slink" Johnson) recreating it in real life.
