koufuku graffiti
A 4koma series written and illustrated by Kawai Makoto and serialized in Manga Time Kirara magazine from 2012 to 2016. A 12-episode anime adaptation by Shaft aired in 2015.
The story follows a middle-school student named Machiko Ryou, who lives on her own. She has a passion for cooking and makes friendships through her cooking.
With slightly erotic food scenes, both the anime and manga are full of detailed cuisine art to whet the appetite. The "koufuku" in the title is a wordplay on two Japanese homonyms—one which means "happiness," and another that means "appetite."
