Main protagonist of Highschool of the Dead. His weapon of choice is his baseball bat and a Smith & Wesson snubnosed revolver that he takes from a dead cop, and later an Ithaca M37 that he also swaps for a Benelli M4 combat shotgun during the events of the manga.

He is a second year student from Fujimi Academy and the love interest for Miyamoto Rei.

He is a tall young man with black spiked hair and brown eyes. His outfit is a Fujimi high school uniform consisting of a gakuran and black pants.
