A hobby where yarn is thread together to create cloth by making little loops called stitches on a row, and then threading the yarn through these stitches on the next row while creating stitches for the next row, and so forth. Discernable from similar crafts by the use of two (or more) knitting needles or a knitting machine. Knitted sweaters and scarves are made with this process.
