A meme originating from "Woodcutter's Pond" (きこりの泉), a manga chapter of Doraemon. The titular gadget is a folding pond with a water deity robot based on the Honest Axe story. The only difference from the original story is that, when the honest man gets a more valuable object, he doesn't get back his own original item.
At the end of the chapter, Gouda Takeshi accidentally falls into the pond and a handsome, mild-mannered version of himself appears at the hands of the deity.
In the anime, the deity was voiced by Shou Mayumi (1st series) and Kawamura Maria (2nd series).
