Traditional Japanese hair ornaments most often worn by brides and geishas. They consists of a wide variety of accessories, including long, rigid hairclips, and fabric flowers; the latter are known as tsumami kanzashi.

The Chinese name is "簪" (zan) or "釵" (chai) which have the same Japanese reading, kanzashi.
