The second protagonist of the original Kamen Rider television series.

After Hongou Takeshi's desertion of Shocker, Ichimonji Hayato is kidnapped and reconstructed into a cyborg with the sole purpose of eliminating Kamen Rider, but is rescued by Hongo before brainwashing could take place. Ichimonji is christened the second Kamen Rider and joins Hongo in his fight against Shocker.

Originally differentiated from No. 1 with his silver mouthpiece, he would receive red gloves and boots. In the continuity of Kamen Rider the First, he is colored green with a red belt. In each adaptation of the original series, his eyes are rendered as red.
