Main protagonist of the SHINOBI series of action video games by SEGA.

He appears in the Shinobi arcade game from 1987 as well as its sequels The Super Shinobi, Shadow Dancer, The Super Shinobi II and Shin Shinobi Den.

Joe Musashi is a veteran expert ninja master. Despite his vast knowledge of the ninja arts, he is quite pragmatic and unorthodox in his approach to combat.

He fights by throwing (an almost) infinite number of shurikens or kunais, and employs firearms for long range attacks, while using martial arts moves and katanas for melee combat.

Joe also uses different types of powerful ninja magic as well as a deadly white ninja dog called Shadow.
