One of the three protagonists of the Playstation game Wild Arms and its Playstation 2 remake Wild Arms Alter Code F. He is playable in both games, and his constant companion is the wind mouse Hanpan. He also makes a cameo in Wild Arms 5.

'Jack Van Burace' is an assumed identity; his real name is Garrett Stampede, representing the Vambrace in the Fenril Knights of Arctica Castle. When the demons attacked Arctica Castle, Garrett was the only survivor and swore revenge, changing his name and becoming a drifter. He joins Rody Roughnight and Cecilia Lynne Adelhyde in fighting the demons and saving his would-be lover Elmina Niet, who had become Lady Harken.
