hospital gown
A type of uniformed clothing provided by hospitals for patients, also know as a patient gown. There're mainly two variants. The loose detachable robe for patients undergoing operations or examinations. The pajamas-like buttoned top-and-bottom set for hospitalized patients, often vertically striped. Their designs are not very standardized, versions often vary in details. The most common colors are blue and white, pink is also somewhat common.
Patients can often be seen with an iv stand and an intravenous drip.
Not to be confused with medical scrubs, a type of medical gown.
